Introduction
Hay Lakes School is situated 20 minutes northwest of Camrose in the community of Hay Lakes. The school has a population of approximately 230 students from grades 1-12, as well as 14 teaching staff, and 10 support staff. Academic achievement is of utmost importance to staff, students and parents at Hay Lakes School and we foster a learning environment that puts students first. Hay Lakes School also has an exceptional athletic program. Our basketball program is extremely strong, with our high school teams often competing in provincial championships. We also have fine volleyball, cross-country running, track and badminton teams, with students regularly attending zones and provincials.
Fine arts is another important aspect of Hay Lakes School. Our band program begins in Grade 6, and our students give many outstanding performances throughout the year. Hay Lakes School is a place where everyone is made to feel welcome. We strive to create a family environment in which students feel valuable and important. Every day, Every Student, A Success!
